To Pay In Person or by Mail:	Receiver of Taxes and Assessments, 1 Overocker Road, Poughkeepsie, New York 12603 Please make checks payable to Kelly Tremper, Receiver of Taxes (Please note that if the due date falls on a holiday, and this office is closed, you will be given a grace day to pay on the next business day without penalty). This office accepts a US Postmark as timely as long as the postmark shows a date on or before the due date. A postage meter postmark (i.e. Pitney Bowes) is NOT a postmark made by the United States Post office and, therefore, is not within the provisions of Real Property Tax Law, Section 925. Payments cannot be deemed timely because of a postage meter postmark on an envelope containing tax payment (Op. State Compt. 69-170)
Online Payment Fee Schedule:	Credit Card 2.45% of total amount being paid (Master Card, Visa and Discover) minimum fee $3.95 Master Card Debit 2.45% of total amount being paid, minimum fee $1.75 E-Checks - $1.75 Flat Fee

Taxes are due the last day of February without penalty. From March 1, through May 31st there is a 2% penalty and from June 1st through August 31st there is a 4% penalty. The last day to pay our office is August 31st.

After August 31st all unpaid taxes must be paid to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance, 22 Market Street, 3rd Floor, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601 (845-486-2025) with additional penalties.
