Welcome to the Town of Claverack's Online Tax Payment & Search System!

2024 Town & County Tax Payments will be accepted by Mary Hoose, Tax Collector, beginning January 1, 2024 through May 31, 2024 (penalties may apply after January). Regular office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 –3:00pm. In addition, we will be open from 9:00–12:00 noon on Saturdays during the month of January only. We are closed for all government holidays. This site will be the future host of Credit, Debit & E–check payments for the January tax collection.

You may view and print the current bills or receipts from this site. If prior year taxes show unpaid you can check with the county to verify payments on delinquent taxes. Payments made to Columbia County for back taxes will not appear on this website.

NEW FOR 2024!!! You may pay your taxes (full payment only) online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by using your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express credit card ($2 minimum or 2.55% of total– whichever is greater –convenience fee will apply), Visa Debit card (1.95% fee will apply) or by Electronic Check ($2.00 flat fee w/verification will apply). Convenience and flat fees are collected by the web service provider, not by the Town of Claverack, and will be the responsibility of the taxpayer.

Online tax payments for the Town and County bill will not be accepted after May 31st of each year.

Partial payments cannot be made through the online tax payment system. Partial payments may be made via mail or in the Town Clerk's office by check, money order or cash only.

Payment Schedule: Jan. 1–31 – no penalty; Feb. 1–29 –1% penalty; Mar. 1–31 – 2% penalty; April 1–30 – 3% penalty; May 1–31 – 4% penalty.

You will receive an email confirmation of your payment.

The website will not reflect your payment until it is updated the next business day.
