The collection office hours are: Monday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm, Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 8 pm, and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 11 am for the months of January and February. For the months of March and April please call for an appointment. My office is located in my home at 7173 Route 11 Churubusco; my phone number is 518-497-3480.

Payments are accepted in Cash or Checks payable to Cindy Helm, Tax Collector. Only US Funds will be accepted. Post-dated checks will not be accepted.

Taxes may be paid in full on or before January 31 without penalty or interest and must be post-marked by January 31 OR
Taxes may be paid in two (2) equal payments plus accrued interest to your town tax collector OR
Taxes may be paid in four (4) installments. The first payment includes a 2% surcharge and must be paid to Cindy Helm, Tax Collector by January 31. The February, March, and April payments are to be paid to the Clinton County Treasurer by the due dates (see coupons), if payments are paid late a 1% per month penalty will be assessed. All installments unpaid as of May 1st will be assessed additional penalities and interests.

Interest rates are January 0%, February 1%, March 2% and April 3%.

Notice of delinquent tax will be sent out around April 1st, pursuant to Real Property Tax Law. There is a charge of $2.00 on each parcel when this notice is sent out. (Payments will be returned if $2.00 is not included.) Tax books are closed on April 30.
