2026 Town & County Tax Payments will be accepted by Phyllis Dinkelacker, Collector beginning January 1, 2026. Collection hours are Monday – Friday 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Taxes can be paid in person by check, credit card or cash, at the Athens Municipal Building 2 First St., Athens, NY.    We are closed for all government holidays.

 This site will be available to make an online payment of your 2026 Taxes by Credit, Debit & E–check. Online payments will be available January 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026.

You may view or print the current bills or receipts from this site. It also retains five years of tax payment history at the Town Level. If prior years taxes show unpaid you can check with the county to verify payments on delinquent taxes.

Payment Schedule January 1 – January 31, 2026 – no penalty, February 1 – February 28 – 1% penalty. (PAYMENTS MADE TO THE COUNTY WILL NOT BE POSTED ON THIS WEBSITE).
